The Bude Tourist Information website is very helpful for local information and their office is a few minutes’ walk away by the canal. They have very helpful staff to inform and advise.
Beach huts can also be booked here or online as well. They are charged at either daily or weekly rates. Both beaches have beach huts to hire.
The
Beach
Bude has 2 main beaches Summerleaze and Crooklets both are around a 10 minute walk from the house. Both have carparks, toilets and cafes.
Crooklets has 2 beach cafes, Rosie’s and Crooklets Beach Café and has a small children’s play area and a skate park
Summerleaze also has its famous tidal Bude Sea Pool which is free to use and looked after by a local charity. There is also a play area and a cafe, Life’s A Beach. Tide’s allowing you can also walk from Summerleaze beach to the canal where there are more shops, cafes and activitis
In high season they have RNLI Lifeguard services on both beaches but please do remember that the seas can be challenging to navigate with rip tides.
